Opening a FatPirate account took me under 3 minutes on both test phones, and no documents were required until withdrawal. Two things to know first: the casino holds no verifiable gaming licence, and your account currency, chosen from 13 options, is effectively locked once set.

Signing up at FatPirate took me 2 minutes 41 seconds on a Samsung Galaxy S25 and 2 minutes 58 seconds on an iPhone 17. Both runs used a fresh Gmail address, and neither asked for a single document. That speed is the friendly face of the process. The unfriendly part comes later, and it starts with the fact that this casino operates without a verifiable gaming licence, which changes how carefully you should fill in every field.

This page covers the signup flow only: the form, the currency decision, bonus activation and the moment KYC appears. For the full trust investigation, read our FatPirate legitimacy review; for what happens after you’re in, see the login guide.

Read This Before You Create an Account

No recognised regulator stands behind FatPirate. Casino Guru lists the operator as Invicta Tech Limited and states the site runs without a valid licence; PlayCasino attributes it to Lumina Holdings Limitada, a Costa Rica business registration, which is not a gaming licence at all. Two review databases, two different owners, zero licence numbers. The official footer shows no legal entity and no address either, something I checked myself in July 2026.

Why does this matter on a registration page? Because everything you type into that form, your name, date of birth and address, goes to a company that no gambling regulator supervises. If a withdrawal dispute goes wrong, there’s no authority to escalate to. Casino Guru has closed several FatPirate complaints as unresolved for exactly that reason, and the brand’s Trustpilot score sits around 2.0 out of 5 across roughly 360 reviews, which is lower than almost any casino we’ve covered.

I’m not telling you what to do with that. Plenty of players sign up at unlicensed sites with open eyes and small stakes. But register knowing the deal: fast account, real games from Pragmatic Play and Evolution, and no referee if things sour.

The Signup, Step by Step

I ran the registration twice in July 2026, once per device, both times through the mobile browser because FatPirate has no native app. The flow was identical on Android 15 and iOS 19.

  1. Open fatpirate.com and tap the sign-up button. The registration window loads as an overlay, no page reload.
  2. Enter your email and a password. I used a dedicated Gmail address, which I’d recommend over your personal inbox given the marketing volume that follows.
  3. Pick your country and currency. This is the step people rush and regret; see the currency section below before you tap anything.
  4. Confirm you’re 18+ and accept the terms. The T&C run long, but at minimum read the withdrawal and bonus clauses; they contain a 10% early-withdrawal fee and a €5 max bet rule that catch people off guard.
  5. Verify your email. On my Galaxy S25 the confirmation mail landed in Gmail’s main inbox in about 40 seconds. On the iPhone run it went to the Promotions tab and I spent a couple of minutes hunting for it, so check there first.
  6. Deposit if you want the bonus. The cashier opens straight after confirmation; €20 is the minimum that activates the welcome offer.

One honest snag from my test: after email confirmation, the site dropped me onto the promotions carousel rather than the lobby, and dismissing it took two taps. Minor, but it sets the tone. The platform wants your deposit before it shows you the games.

Also note the geography. FatPirate publishes no official restricted-countries list, but review databases report the UK, USA, Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark among excluded markets. Registering through a VPN from a blocked country is a classic setup for confiscated winnings at KYC, so don’t.

Thirteen Currencies, One Shot

During signup you choose from about 13 account currencies: EUR, USD, GBP, AUD, CAD, NZD, PLN, CZK, CHF, DKK, HUF, NOK and SEK. Crypto players can fund the account with BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, USDC, ADA, DOGE or USDT on top of that, alongside Visa, Mastercard and e-wallets like Skrill (full method rundown in our payments guide).

Choose carefully.

In my test account I found no option to switch currency later in the profile settings, and FatPirate doesn’t publish a currency-change policy anywhere I could find. That matches the industry norm: once an account currency is set, it’s fixed, and changing it usually means contacting support or opening a dispute over conversion fees. If your card and bank run in euros, pick EUR; every bonus figure on the site (the €500 cap, the €20 minimum, the €5 max bet) is denominated in euros, so a EUR account also spares you rounding surprises when bonus limits are converted.

Depositing crypto into a fiat account triggers a conversion at the casino’s rate. As far as I can tell that rate isn’t published, so if you plan to play in Bitcoin or USDT, factor in a spread you can’t audit.

Claiming the Welcome Bonus at Signup

The first-deposit offer, as documented across review sites in 2025-2026, is 100% up to €500 plus 200 free spins, with the spins drip-fed at 20 per day for 10 days. Activation is automatic once you deposit at least €20; no promo code was required in my run.

Before you tick that bonus box, weigh the terms, because they’re heavier than the banner suggests. Wagering is 35x on deposit plus bonus combined, which on a €100 deposit means €7,000 in bets. Free-spin winnings carry a separate 40x requirement. Max bet with an active bonus is €5, the whole package expires in 10 days, and cashout from the bonus is capped at 10x the bonus amount. Deposits via Skrill or Neteller don’t qualify at all. The full maths, including whether skipping the bonus is smarter, lives in our welcome bonus breakdown.

You can decline the bonus at deposit. Honestly, if you deposit more than you’re prepared to wager 35 times over, declining is the saner path.

When Does KYC Kick In?

Not at registration. FatPirate let me open the account, deposit and play with nothing but an email address. Verification arrives when you request your first withdrawal, and that’s where the queue forms.

Expect to upload two things: a government photo ID (passport or driving licence) and a proof of address, typically a utility bill or bank statement. WizardOfOdds reports the review taking up to 10 business days, and its cashout grade for this casino is E++, close to the bottom of its scale. Casino Guru’s complaint log includes a €10,000 win stuck in “awaiting validation” since August 2025. Compared to licensed operators, where KYC commonly clears in 24-48 hours, that’s a different league of waiting.

My practical advice: submit documents right after registering, before any withdrawal is on the line. Support runs 24/7 via live chat, and getting verified while nothing is at stake removes the casino’s most common delay excuse. I can’t promise it speeds up an actual payout, but it takes one variable off the table.

Form Fields at a Glance

Every field from my test signup, with the tip I’d give a friend filling it in:

Form fieldWhat to enterWhy it matters
EmailA real inbox you control (I used a dedicated Gmail)Confirmation link and all withdrawal correspondence go here
PasswordUnique, from a password managerNo licence means no regulator-audited security; don’t reuse a password
CountryYour genuine country of residenceMismatch with your KYC documents is grounds for confiscation
CurrencyThe currency your bank actually uses (EUR for most)Effectively locked after signup; bonus caps are set in EUR
Personal details (name, DOB, address)Exactly as printed on your IDChecked letter-for-letter at withdrawal KYC
Bonus opt-inTick only if 35x wagering suits your bankrollAccepting adds the €5 max bet and 10-day clock to your deposit

The pattern behind every tip is the same: fill the form as if a hostile auditor will read it later, because at an unlicensed casino, the KYC reviewer effectively is one.

If gambling stops being fun at any point, talk to GamCare’s free support service or use the self-assessment tools at BeGambleAware before depositing, not after.

Registration FAQ

How long does FatPirate registration take?

Under 3 minutes in both of my tests (2:41 on a Galaxy S25, 2:58 on an iPhone 17), including email confirmation. No documents are requested at signup; verification starts only when you first withdraw.

Is there a FatPirate app to register through?

No. FatPirate has no native Android or iOS app, so registration happens in the mobile browser. Any “FatPirate APK” download page you find belongs to an affiliate mirror site, not the casino. Details in our app and mobile guide.

Can I change my account currency after registering?

I found no self-service option for it in the account settings, and FatPirate publishes no currency-change policy. Treat the choice as permanent and pick the currency your bank uses; support may help in edge cases, but nothing is guaranteed.

Do I need a promo code to get the welcome bonus?

No code was needed in my July 2026 test. The 100% up to €500 + 200 free spins offer attaches automatically to a first deposit of €20 or more, unless you deposit via Skrill or Neteller, which are excluded from the promotion.

Is it safe to give FatPirate my personal details?

That’s the real question, and the honest answer is: you’re trusting an unlicensed operator with them. There’s no regulator auditing its data handling, and its Trustpilot score is about 2.0/5. Use a unique password, a dedicated email, and read our full legitimacy review before deciding.
